Kiddleydivey has been running for over 20 years in Buckinghamshire, started by founder Sally Murphy. Due to my own musical training and background, combined with a passion to make a positive difference, I brought Kiddleydivey to Mendip, Sherborne, Salisbury and the surrounding areas in January 2017 with a fantastic response!
The many wonderful high-quality props and instruments we use as well as specially edited songs from different eras, all help to promote movement and stimulate language and memories through music, making the sessions fun, lively and entertaining for all. Staff and family members enjoy them too!
Kiddleydivey consistently research and develop its many musical themed activities and sessions, which have been created by a music therapist and doctor of musicology.
So, what are the benefits?
- Positive changes in moods and emotional states
- A sense of control over life
- Stimulation that promotes interest even when other approaches are ineffective
- Opportunities to interact socially with others
- Improvement in memory functioning
- Increased mobility
- A wonderful time had by all !!
I visit over 150 residential care homes for the elderly and those suffering with dementia and Alzheimer's, as well as day centres and community groups. I run Kiddleydivey sessions in Wessex and am delighted to visit customers who live in towns and villages around Blandford Forum, Bridgwater, Frome, Glastonbury, Mendip, Salisbury, Shepton Mallet, Sherborne, Warminster & Yeovil too. If you are in any doubt or your location is not listed, please feel free to contact me or email Kiddleydivey UK at info@Kiddleydivey.co.uk.
I offer a free taster session to all care homes, day centres and community groups (such as memory cafes) in the area. If you are involved in one of these organisations and would like to book a free taster session, please do get in touch.
