Come and join the kiddleydivey fun!

Hello, my name is Kathryn, and I live in Oldham.

When I left school I trained as a Dispensing Optician and worked in optics for over 30 years. However, I was getting a bit restless and wanted to do something a bit different. I searched the Internet, and Kiddleydivey popped up! It sounded very much that it was something I could do and the music therapy with the elderly greatly appealed, as my Mum had been a dementia sufferer. I loved singing with my Mum, especially the old hymns that she loved. I found that they calmed her and she tried very hard to sing along, even though she couldn't speak very well following a stroke.

To cut a long story short, I joined the Kiddleydivey family just over a year ago and have no regrets at all. I wish I'd discovered it earlier! I love being my own boss, taking control over my work/life balance, but knowing that the back up from Sally and the other "Kiddleydivas" is always there if needed.

If you have anything to do with a Care Home in the North Manchester area and would like a free taster session to see if Kiddleydivey could benefit your residents, please get in touch.

My phone number is 07933 200616 or email me at

I hope to hear from you soon!

Celebrating the Queen's 90th birthday

Hi the session provided by Kathryn is much loved by our service users, it’s a great way of engaging with people no matter where on their dementia journey they are. Its gets people moving and is a great armchair exercise session as well as being a fun activity for all. Kathryn is colourful and full of energy and the choices of music are great for older people. Often people who are reserved or less engaging in activities seem to come more alive with the music and activities that are provided and the themed sessions at particular times of the year have been a great success to us here at Woodclough. A big thank you from us all

“Our residents participate with Kiddleydivey on a two week basis. They enjoy the interaction with Kathryn .
She themes the activities to events going on . The residents know her now and are more than willing to join in.” T Harwood, Manager, Alexandra Care Home.

We have noticed a difference in residents taking part in Kiddleydivey , one lady that is very unresponsive started to join in.
