FAQs
What is Kiddleydivey?
Kiddleydivey classes aim to introduce music and its many elements to children and babies in a way that is stimulating and fun. Whilst developing a musical interest we also aim to reach into the children's potential for development.
How long are the music classes?
Kiddleydivey classes are all half an hour long. Having many years of experience, we have found this to be the optimum amount of time for babies and toddlers to concentrate.
What can I expect in a Kiddleydivey music class?
Each class at Kiddleydivey has a similar structure that the children quickly learn. As the weeks progress they love to anticipate what is coming next. Within the chosen theme for the week, we use traditional and original action songs, a teddy bear section, a "Guess what's in the bag" section and of course time for the percussion instruments.
Why should I choose Kiddleydivey?
Kiddleydivey classes are well formatted and structured in such a way as to be educational and lots of fun. All the sessions have been devised by a child development specialist and are run by qualified musicians and teachers. Many of the classes feature live music. We do not rely on taped music that can be so limiting for small children.
At what age can my baby start classes with Kiddleydivey?
We usually recommend starting classes at 5 months. However, we do have younger babies whose parents enjoy getting out and about meeting other Mum's and Dad's in their area, whilst having fun with their child.
Are classes payable weekly or termly?
Kiddleydivey classes are payable termly. Each term is usually a minimum of ten weeks long. Every week we build on what we have done the week before so we feel that a termly commitment is the better option so the young child can benefit from the whole programme.
Can I try a class before I commit to a term?
Yes of course. We offer free trial classes to all age groups. Either give us a call so we can help you choose the right class for you, or just turn up to your chosen venue!
How many children are in each class?
Class numbers can vary but we don't have more than twenty children in one class.
My child is not very good at sitting still. Will we still be able to come to a class?
Of course! All children go through different stages of wanting to explore the environment around them. Just try to encourage your child to come back to sit with you so they learn what is expected from them.
Can I buy the Kiddleydivey CD's and DVD's?
Yes. They are available in every class.
